Romance on a RocketShip

One of the newest things that we see today in music is that we see its a one person pand.
Let me intoduce you to Romance on a Rocketship. The band was formed by the nameof Kasey Smith who is the guitarist and vocals to this electronica band. If you may think he Kasey looks familiar its because he used  to be a former guitarist for two Christian hardcore bands called Agraceful and Here I Come Falling.

The band is very new so he is working on the album at the moment but he had released a music video  called "Skin and Bones"

Sexy Heroes

Sexy Heroes is a band from New Jersey  that I had found myself at  a musical festival event called Bamboozle back in May 2010 which is held every year at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. Many known and unknown bands all come together and play alternative to punk music. Sexy Heroes have been picked twice to play at the show. The one that I went to was their second time. When I got to see them I considered them as a funny punk band with creative songs .
As of now they do not have a drummer. I don't have a clue to what happened to the previous drummer Mike that I met, but I do know that they are looking for a new one. If you are a drummer or know someone that does you should definatly contact them .

The Birthday Massacre

 Welcome back bloggers to another week of new  music.
This week's pick is a band from Canada named The Birthday Massacre.
Chibi, the lead singer of The Birthday Massacre gives listeners that sweet sound to
to electronic/ industrial dark music to the band. Wearing girlie gothic outfits and the rest of the band who are guys wearing makeup.  One of the reasons why i picked this band  is that i feel as if they need to be noticed .
Chibi's voice is very unique and can be well distinguished than other bands i have heard of.

They have recently came out with an album called " Pins and Needles "   back  in September
with their single " In The Dark"

Jay Reatard

Jay Reatard is a great garage punk band that brought a great energy to the stage and very meaningful lyrics  from the man who started it all named Jimmy Lee Lindsay aka Jay Reatard .  He had started making albums when he was  young back  in his state in Tenessee. One of my favorite songs on his lastest albums

I wish I could give everyone updates on this band, but unfortunatly  back in January of this year Jimmy Lee Lindsay  had died in his sleep at age 29 from  drugs and alcohol. http://www.spin.com/articles/jay-reatard-dead-29

Music Picks of the Week

Hello there my fellow bloggers,

I welcome  you to my very first blog.
As you can tell, the topic of my website is to inform people with music that some may have not  heard of . These are some of the bands of what  I think is worthy to listen to.

 Some of the genre of music that  I will be posting up will be Rock, Alternative, Punk, Electronic, and Industrial. I will be posting a different band every week. What will be discussed is  what kind of band they are and their background. I will also include links to their  music videos and links to where one can buy their albums. One of the greatest things that  I would like to do on here to give you an access to links to theirs concerts and or events they may appear at .
